The Christian Journey

Through Justification by faith we are instantly made righteous before God. Being excused from the penalty of the law. Due to his marvellous grace through Jesus Christ, we have peace with Him. Having received the free gift of His love by faith.

After righteousness is imputed by faith, we go through a process, where righteousness is imparted to us, called sanctification. This process is a life long process. It’s the righteousness of God given to us through faith until we are sealed in His righteousness. We go through fiery trials and afflictions to show aspects of our characters, which needs to be surrendered to God to be more transformed in the likeness of Christ.

The Holy Spirit dwells within the soul of the believer.  As a comforter, and guides them in all truth. Truth even about themselves. And empowers them to live righteously, while going through situations and circumstances of suffering.

God  then allows suffering as a means to bring out who we really are. So we can see our moral depravity, and look to Him for help.

And also, intimately grow us closer to Him. Where we learn to let go of ourselves to be dependent on Him. We may fall several times over in sin. Wrestling with God over the defects of our own characters, but God’s grace is always sufficient.

We are not promise an easy life as Christians. For in the world we will have much tribulation, we will have to go through for the perfecting of our characters; because it’s only our characters we will take to heaven.

But we will have peace throughout all eternity with God. Where there will be no more sin, pain, suffering, misery and death.

Thus, the suffering we will have to endure, will be as nothing in comparison to the heavenly bliss and Glory of God throughout all of eternity.
