The marriage of the bridegroom and the bride

The bridegroom solicits the love of His bride by a self sacrificial act of love to save her. laying down His life. He selflessly serves, and graciously leads her. He washes, cleanses and clothes her. He clothes her with a beautiful bright white linen. Presenting her without spot and blemish as a pure virgin. And says, I am yours.

She reciprocates His love and submits to Him. Giving her life to Him, and says, I am yours.  The marriage is then consummated, and they become one. One in will, purpose and desire. Where His will becomes her’s. And she says, “thy will be done……” Matthew 6:10

The bridegroom says, “Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.”

And the bride says, “My beloved is mine and I am His.  Ezekiel 16:8 and Songs of Solomon 2:16.
