The materialisation of marriage part 2

It’s sad to see some people who call themselves Christian, describe marriage as if it’s something purely economical, when they’re supposed to know better.

Saying, marriage is a business, a 50/50 partnership, the husband and wife are assets and love is transactional between the 2. Where money is at the centre of the relationship not God.

This is of the devil. People who are selfishly ambitious for material wealth, believing they can buy love, acceptance and happiness think this way. Worshiping money as their god.

We can’t buy love because God is love. Having said that, it’s therefore an impossibility to buy acceptance and happiness too. If we looked to the one who created the institution of marriage, we would know God is at the centre of it and love is freely given selflessly, which would naturally bring acceptance and happiness.
