God sees our pain

You feel lost and confused, and do not know what to do. You feel like you do not want to do anything. You feel weak and vulnerable, and even more fearful and anxious. And when you feel pain and hurt, you long for comfort,  longing to feel good. So, you naturally turn to bad things or just keep yourself busy to numb the pain you feel deep down inside.

While you are depressed, your mind goes back to past memories, when you were the happiest to compensate for how you feel in the present. And when you feel limited to your surroundings all you feel to do is to go as far away as possible.

You do not know how to trust me anymore, because of the pain that I have permitted to only develop your character; and therefore, you are genuinely afraid to look to my way and seek my face with all of your heart. Pain then becomes the justification not only to sin, but to not have faith in me. You see more pain on top of all of the pain and suffering you have been through.

But if you were to completely put your faith in me despite the pain, your burdens would become light again. You will create new happy memories, and live in the moment of them. And past troubles will slowly disappear.

I know it seems like a lot, but please grab my hand, and do not let go. Cling on to me tighter when troubles come nigh. I will not let you go. I will protect you, and see you through. The things that were troubling you will stop in time.

I know it is hard to grasp. Pain is not only permitted for character development and to show exactly what is wrong, but it is part of the whole healing process. For example: When you do physio therapy it is painful and uncomfortable, but necessary. Necessary to regain strength and to become stronger. So whatever was injured can be functional again, without pain.

Did I not promised to restore your soul?

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake….” Psalm 23:3

Did I not promised to renew your strength?

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Did I not promise to keep you?

“3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

Cling onto my promises. Bear them in your mind, hide it within the depths of your heart. And you will have faith in me.
