Self deception

Some people lie to themselves about themselves. And tell those same lies, which they have told themselves to others.

Lying to self because of not wanting to accept all of the truth. Showing an impartiality to it even though they are consciously aware. Due to a half hearted commitment, where they are double minded at heart, and not completely devoted and dedicated to one view. But caught between two opinions.

They are unstable like the troubled sea, which goes to and fro without no rest. Falsely flattering themselves with their own empty words as well as the words of idle men.

Thus, deceiving themselves. To believe they are ok, because they know what the truth is; but they don’t have to completely accept all of it.
Due to the truth itself clashing with certain preconceived notions, they are unwilling to let go of. Embracing the truth only in part.

This then leads to a perpetuation of a false perception of self. According to the untruths believed despite knowing the truth deep down.

There are some who cherry pick what the Bible says. To disregard other verses that they know is true; because they clash against their preconceptions. When God said, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which proceeds from the mouth of God.

There are then pretending unbelievers, masquerading as believers in the Church. Having a false profession of faith. Blending the light of God’s word with the darkness of their unbelief.

Their belief in God is no different from the devil and his demons who believe and know His word. But reverence Him not.

We are to love God whole heartedly. We are to love Him with all of our heart, mind, strength, soul and spirit. He wants our all. Anything less is impartial, and a subjection to the devil’s influence of control and insubordination. For there is no impartiality with God.

Therefore, there has to be a full commitment to Him or not. Not is still being submissive to the influence of the prince and the power of the air who works through the children of disobedience. Doing whatever they want in rebellion against God, willfully practicing lawlessness.
