Whoever hates sin must uphold the law. Whoever fights the law is upholding sin.Whenever he likes it or not. Grace is pardon for sin, which is breaking the law. And the Saviour died, that we may have grace, which is pardon for sin.
Therefore, God’s Commandments is an offence to those because of the love for sin. Professing in vain love for Jesus Christ, while crucifying Him afresh by living in transgression to God’s law. For sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4
There are those who claim to be Christians, which justify the practice of sin as well as encourage others to sin, because we’re under grace. And are the same ones who wonder, why there’s so much lawlessness in Christianity. It’s because people have clearly been told to live without the law, while the Bible says to keep it.
Jesus said Himself, “If you love me, keep my Commandments.”John 14:15. If love is a pre- requisite of keeping the commandments, then the implication on the contrary, is not to love Him to not keep His commandments.
Hence, “He that saith, “I know Him,” and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4
